Natural gas transmission systems need to be constantly maintained – a task that OGE’s Technical Operations team can take care of and tailor to your needs.
A service contract with OGE in accordance with the DVGW codes of practice governs the maintenance of:
- High-pressure gas pipelines in accordance with G 466-1
- Gas pressure regulating and metering stations (M & R stations) in accordance with G 495
- Gas transport compressor systems in accordance with G 497
The following core activities are handled by Technical Operations:
- System responsibility (operational asset management)
- Monitoring all systems on site
- Local control intervention (operation on site)
- System maintenance/optimisation
- Standby service for fault clearance / securing system availability
Special maintenance services:
High-pressure gas pipelines
Customised high-pressure gas pipeline maintenance services in accordance with DVGW Code of Practise G 466-1:
- Inspection, function testing and maintenance
- Walking surveys, mobile surveys and aerial inspections of gas pipelines
- Leakage inspections according to G 465 and/or using the CHARM® (airborne remote gas detection) method
- Cutting out/clearing pipeline corridors
- Coordination and monitoring of construction work by third parties
- Maintenance work on valves, pig traps and condensate traps
- Monitoring of cathodic protection systems in accordance with DVGW-Code of Practice GW 10
Gas pressure regulating and metering stations
Bespoke solutions for the maintenance of gas pressure regulating and metering stations (M&R stations) according to DVGW Code of Practice G 495:
- Inspection and function testing (monitoring) of the control and safety installations
- Safety equipment maintenance
- Servicing of all other parts according to the results of the function tests (on-condition or on-demand maintenance)
- Documentation of all activities 24-hour standby service
Compressor stations
Bespoke solutions for the maintenance of natural gas compressor units according to DVGW Code of Practice G 497:
- Inspection, function testing and maintenance
- Monitoring of compressor units on site
- Operations on site
- Coordination of maintenance activities, inspections and function testing of the technical installations (compressor units, control and safety equipment etc.)
- Documentation of all activities
- 24-hour standby service
