Appointment of the hydrogen market area manager by the hydrogen transport network operators
In accordance with section 1 of the Federal Network Agency's ruling on the hydrogen balancing and accounting model (WasABi) dated October 27, 2025, the hydrogen transport network operators appointed Trading Hub Europe GmbH (THE) as the hydrogen market area manager on December 8, 2025, within the specified time limit. THE accepted the appointment on December 12, 2025.

How can the energy transition be achieved with natural gas, hydrogen, and CO₂ management? At the fourth Energy Policy Dialogue in Berlin, over 100 experts from politics, business, and industry discussed the key role these molecules play in a climate-neutral energy system.
