You can reserve exit capacity in our transmission system if you are an operator of storage, LNG and production facilities or of gas-fired power plants to be connected to a gas transmission system. You can also increase your connection capacity if your facilities are to be expanded.
To make reservations, the operator must meet certain prerequisites in accordance with Section 38 of the Gas Network Access Ordinance (GasNZV) and provide OGE with:
After receipt of the complete documents, we review the enquiry within two months. If the reservation is possible we reserve the necessary capacity in the network. For this, the customer will need to pay a reservation fee. Depending on the type of system, this will be between 0.40 and 0.50 euros per kilowatt hour per hour per year. The fee will be charged upon a subsequent firm booking. The capacity reservation expires if the exit point is not booked and confirmed within three years after receipt of the reservation declaration by the transmission system operator.
If we are not able to consider the booking request due to a lack of capacity in our transmission network, then Section 39 of the GasNZV governs the entitlements of the connection customer with regard to capacity expansion. This entitlement applies when the capacity expansion of OGE is economically reasonable, meaning that the booking for the necessary entry and exit capacities must be firm and long-term.
The expansion is planned in the realisation roadmap which the two parties develop together. The connection customer will contribute towards the planning costs with a one-off flat planning fee. Depending on the type of system, this will be between 0.40 and 0.50 euros per kilowatt hour per hour per year. The fee is charged upon a long-term booking.
