Detlef Brüggemeyer to become new technical managing director of OGE

OGE has successfully arranged the succession for the position of technical managing director: OGE's Supervisory Board has appointed Detlef Brüggemeyer as a member of OGE's Management Board.

Detlef Brüggemeyer has worked for the company for more than 20 years in various positions, currently as Head of Network Planning and Dispatching. He was previously responsible for infrastructure projects in the technical department as well as asset management. On July 1, 2024, Detlef Brüggemeyer will take over the technical department at OGE as a member of the management board.

Lincoln Webb, chairman of the supervisory board of OGE, said: "With Detlef Brüggemeyer, we have been able to recruit an outstanding manager from our own company for the management of OGE - with him, we are demonstrating that we will continue to consistently pursue our chosen path of transformation. Detlef Brüggemeyer is an experienced manager and, as an OGE native, not only brings a very high level of technical expertise, but also comprehensive knowledge of our entire network structures. With him, we are ideally positioned for the future."

Dr. Thomas Hüwener, future spokesman of the management board of OGE, added: "I am delighted that the supervisory board has appointed an exceptionally experienced infrastructure manager to the Management Board of OGE. He is not only a proven expert in gas transportation, but also a seasoned personality. I am very much looking forward to tackling the future challenges together with Detlef Brüggemeyer.
